Since our inception, our organization has been driven by a single, powerful goal: preventing childhood drowning. Today, we are taking a significant step forward to ensure our identity perfectly matches that mission.
We are officially rebranding from JJ’s Swim Angels to JJ’s Safe Swim Memorial Fund.
Why the Change?
Transparency and clarity are vital to us. Over time, we realized that our previous name, “JJ’s Swim Angels,” often led to a common misunderstanding. Many families and community members believed we were a swim school or a direct program providing the lessons ourselves.
While we work closely with amazing swim instructors, we are not a swim school.
We are a charitable organization dedicated to financial support. By changing our name to JJ’s Safe Swim Memorial Fund, we are clarifying our role as a funding source. We want to ensure that when people see our name, they immediately understand that we exist to provide the financial resources necessary to make water safety accessible.
Our Mission Remains Unchanged
While our name and logo are changing, our heart remains exactly the same. We are dedicated to honoring JJ’s legacy by removing the financial barriers that keep children from learning how to be safe in the water.
We will continue to focus our efforts on providing funding for 12 weeks of swim and water safety lessons for children who need it most.
Our Core Focus:
- Ages: Children 0–14 years old.
- Communities: We prioritize marginalized communities where access to life-saving water safety education is often limited.
- The Goal: To equip every child we sponsor with the skills they need to survive and thrive in the water.

We ask for your patience as we work through these changes. We want to ensure everything is perfect so we can serve you better.
